He's on a military campaign to conquer Hokkan. He's rather charming and devious, and has a good eye for picking out excellent warriors, the most notable being Shigi and Hien. He even enlists Rimudo after seeing him kill some of the Kutou soldiers, impressed by the way Rimudo was able to move like the wind. He doesn't believe in the Seishi or their powers, however he and Temudan have made an agreement, so he sends Shigi, Hien and a small military unit to hunt down Rimudo and priestess. He's a confident leader. He accepts Haagasu into his army, and later accepts a map of Kaza-ana from Temudan. He's not sure what Temudan's ulterior motives are, but he's more than ready to use these tools to his advantage. He moves his military now according to the tunnels of Kaza-ana, so that the Seishi will be immobilized by Tegu's song should they try to attack.
