She is a divine being, the God of the Sky, who resides on the sacred mountain Taikyoku. Her magic and wisdom make her a valuable help to Takiko. Her ability to vanish through walls, or bounce away on the tops of clouds makes her unpredictable so it's never certain when she'll come and go. She first appeared to Takiko on the slopes of Mt. Kokureishin, and named her the Priestess of Genbu. On other occasions she has warned Takiko of approaching enemies, or given Takiko a dragon to ride on (since Taiitsukun can do things like that).
