Viz translations of names: Hagus & TegAge: 26 Constellation: Roof, "wei" Character Location: center of face Urumiya consists of two people; twin boys from the Urudai tribe in a remote part of Western Hokkan, two parts of the same whole. The Urudai tribe was threatened by monsters, one of which killed their father while on their way home one day. At the age of nine, Tegu used his powers to kill the monsters, and was soon discovered and imprisoned in a secret place called Kaza-ana by the Emperor Tegiru. Their power is linked to their breath; when Haagasu inhales, he can use the other Seishi's powers, when Tegu exhales (usually as a 'song') he can repress the other Seishi's powers. Neither experience is particularily enjoyable, especially Tegu's, which clearly causes debilitating pain. Haagasu is a skilled fighter, and able to turn an opponents power against them. Tegu's power can wreac a lot od desctruction as well, in extreme cases causing those affected by his 'songs' to be shredded. Kind of like how that really high pictched note shatters the glass. For seventeen years now, Haagasu has been doing everything in his power to locate and be reunited with his twin brother. He's now working closely with the royal family, and the Kutou army in hopes that he will get the information he wants from them. As it is, only Kind Tegiru knows Tegu's location, but if Tegiru dies, and Temudan ascendes the thrown, then such knwoledge will be passed to him. Haagasu has sworn to bring Temudan uruki's head, if that's what it takes to get his brother back. In the meantime, Tegu is chained up somewhere underground. He still looks the same as he did seventeen years ago, and remains completely unresponsive to everything, except for two instances where he sang. The first time, six years after being taken captive, his song affected Inami who was living in the palance harem at the time. The second time, Uruki is coming toward the city in a rage, ready to kill his father. After this, it becomes more frequent, as the other Seishi attempt to use their powers close to the city of Touran. His song gets channeled through the system of caverns around where he is imprisoned, and can affect the Seishi anywhere they are around to hear him. For normal people, the caverns are considered haunted, for the crying-like noises that have been heard coming from them. With Haagasu working against Takiko and the other Seishi, and Tegu spontaneously crippling them all, Urumiya is quite a problem for them to overcome. Although Haagasu has shown signs of wanting to protect innocent people, and has inexplicably made "mistakes" that allowed Takiko to get help and escape, it seems he'll kill Takiko and the other Seishi if it means he'll get his brother back. In the end, he's going to try to keep the trust of the Kutou army and the royal family, long enough so that he can get to his brother before killing them all for being jerks. |
